New bolster in Peter Dunham fabric! Great price $150.
Lovi was an editorial photographer for Vogue in the 1960’s where he photographed and worked with Twiggy and Dame Miriam Rothschild. He was a teacher of Annie Leibovitz at the Art Institute in San Francisco. His fine art photography that we’re showing is a group of still lives created with his collection of porcelain and flowers collected throughout the gardens of England. He lived in London for over 18 years before landing in San Francisco once again.
The pieces that we have at Homme are styled incredibly; obvious that he hails from the family of Vogue… They look like paintings. We are selling editions of 4 per image. His dye transfer prints are available as well but are close to double that of what we have here in the shop. We will post more images later this week.
I’ve started blogging more mostly because of my finally caving to the world of the iPhone when I lost my Blackberry about six weeks ago and discovered the WordPress app! It’s awesome and so much fun, so many times I’m out and about and want to write about something and then loose my mojo by the time I’m immersed with work back at my computer.
I took a photo of the shop today, finally with nice weather, a sign, and incredible tables by Tony Duquette I couldn’t resist sharing.
We’ve also finishes putting the Waterford chandelier together… I’ve ordered some super white wax sleeves with no drips to make it feel fresh… It’s so weird to me that Waterford would sell their lights with plastic candle sleeves.
We’re so happy to represent Sister Parish Design’s new home accessories collection. Currently we’re selling the waste basket for $80, dish for $20 and larger round tray for $65 and we ship anywhere. We’re so inspired bringing back old school pieces like this… LOVE…
Here we go!!! This has been in the back of the shop, it was disassembled in England and I was given the task to put it together and sell… John is here with me today to start the work with me. Dan the electrician may be coming by later to help wire up the arms… We’ll keep you posted. This is just the beginning, we have four more boxes to unpack, crazy!
Phase one completed… We can’t believe we just did this ourselves!
Phase three… We’ve hit a stand-still for the day because the electrician can’t come until tomorrow… We’re so proud of ourselves, it’s so empowering just to take a step back and take the time to figure something out, and we’ve had a great time along the way… This I where we are about 3 plus hours in:
Sister Parish fans take note… I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, and especially anything about dogs! I’m so happy and thrilled to have a selection of Sister Parish Design’s new home accessories line in the shop… They are based in New York and happened to be in San Francisco today. I’ve known and worked with Susan since very shortly after she and her business partner Libby Cameron resurrected and created a line of fabrics in 2000 designed by her famous grandmother, Sister. They just launched their home accessories collection this past January, which consists of everything from cloth-bound notebooks, blotters, frames, laminated trash bins, trays, ice buckets, matching mommy and daughter aprons, it goes on and on…It’s so exciting.
They’ve made the cutest dog collar and leash, I couldn’t resist posting it… the collar comes in a small dog size and larger size for labs and retrievers. Please let us know if you’re interested, and we can send more information! We will post the rest of our SPD home accessories inventory when we get photos taken tomorrow.

Here’s a link to the available stock: http://gallery.me.com/michellehomme#100064
Carl, a local craftsman in Sonoma County made this really cute red bench. It’s new to the shop and has a great storage seat… it’s priced really well, please email us with questions. All of his pieces are one of a kind, as he is a “green” builder, only makes things from scraps of wood he collects… never buys new lumber. We love Carl! SOLD
In the spirit of the One King’s Lane sale we have going on right now, we have lowered the price on this great vintage 1960’s coffee table from $2450 to $1950. It’s by Baker Furniture, you can also see it on our 1stdibs account. Please email us if you’re interested in a shipping or delivery quote!
We have this up for sale and realized the same piece is on the cover of Cote Paris November/ December 2010 issue. It’s fantastic!
